A minimally invasive cosmetic procedure where a special instrument is used to shave away the uppermost layers of your skin. Dermaplaning can help reduce the appearance of acne scars or other skin imperfections by revealing newer, undamaged skin.
The dermaplaning facial treatment is a special exfoliation technique that involves using a dermaplane, or a small surgical blade to gently scrape away the top layers of dead skin cells and vellus hair (also known as peach fuzz) from the face.

During your consultation, we will assess your skin type and condition. We will also discuss your goals for treatment and your skin care journey at The Neon Salon.
At Neon, numbing cream is not an optional extra, and will be applied before the procedure starts. The complete procedure (including the numbing process) will take around one hour, depending on the area treated and the problem’s severity.
Before your microneedling procedure, a medical grade numbing cream will be applied to the skin. The microneedling device punctures the skin in a cross-hatching pattern, and your expert aesthetician will move the instrument over the skin several times for optimal effects. Your body will recognize that your skin have been wounded and will start the healing process by producing collagen and elastin. During your procedure, we needle in derma-cosmeceutical serums in your skin, depending on your skin type and condition.
Please note: The treatment is minimally invasive and should be done at our salon every 4 weeks for optimal results.
You may experience redness on the treated area, skin warmth, and a tingling sensation. This is normal and should resolve itself within 24 hours.
We will provide you with aftercare instructions, however, you should avoid sun exposure and use sunscreen for at least one week after treatment.
